Ag Day is one of New Zealand's most beloved school traditions — a celebration of rural life where students raise, care for, and proudly present their animals to judges, family, and friends. From hand-rearing a calf or lamb to grooming a pet for the show ring, Ag Day teaches kids responsibility, patience, and a deep connection to the land.
